AC/Refrigeration Tech

POSITION: AC/Refrigeration Tech

JOB SUMMARY: **This position has the responsibility to install, service, and repair refrigeration systems and equipment such as condensing units, compressors, and ACs.**

REQUIREMENTS:

  • **Three (3) subjects GCE O’Level/CXC.**
  • **Certificate in Refrigeration** from the **Government Technical Institute (GTI)** or any other recognized institution.
  • **Minimum of two (2) years working experience** in this field.

Industrial Electrician

Education Requirements

  • Ordinary Technical Diploma in Electrical Engineering and Certificate in Refrigeration from G.T.I.

Responsibilities

  • To be able to read, interpret and produce electrical drawings and circuit diagrams of standard installation and equipment on the plant and make intelligent analysis of the functions of the various components of the equipment and information gained in repairing equipment and machinery.
  • Must possess wide knowledge in a small power house operation.
  • Must be adept in current analysis; trace and locate faults in control circuits, locating of line faults, transient and sustained electrical faults.
  • To do all common rigging or handling of heavy machines and materials in a safe and economical way.
  • Must possess working knowledge of the purpose and operation of all electrically driven and controlled equipment and effect repairs where and when necessary to same.
  • Must possess sound knowledge in the choice of drives, starting and protection, arrangements, cable sizes, means of isolation, etc. Should be fully conversant with electro-mechanical energy conversion, methods of power factor correction and economical power distribution.
  • Must possess knowledge to use effectively the various industrial electrical measuring instruments such as AVO meter, IR tester, Tachometer, KWH meter. Power factor meter, phase sequence tester, etc.
  • To recognize by feel, sight or hearing electrical/mechanical faults in machines in common use in the plant and to make general repairs.
  • Be fully conversant with the factory’s safety and health regulations and the institute of electrical Engineers’ Regulations.
  • Exercise good house-keeping techniques and conduct.
  • To complete assignments in a timely manner.
Production Supervisor

Requirements

  • Four (4) subjects CXC/G.C.E passes inclusive of Mathematics and English Language.
  • Minimum of three (3) years working experience in a Food Manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication & team building skills.
  • Proficient computer literacy skills, including working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Any supervisory skills & experience will be considered an asset.
